Remember, Thou art mortal.

Sad news this week. An old college roommate, Bob Honacher, died suddenly of a brain aneurysm. He was 32. This is the second of my former roommates to die of a brain disorder. Shawn Wampler, from Bethel Park, died of brain cancer in 2007. He was 34 at the time. Just goes to show you, make the most of your time!

I am getting a little anxious about next week. I go for a blood test for the first time in a month. I feel pretty good, but you never know. Trust me, when I find out you shall be first to know. Have a good weekend.

  1. I didn't know you lived with Bob in college. I was so sad to hear about his passing. He was a great guy!

If this is the second roommate to suffer an untimely death, then I'm glad I never lived with you ;)

Good luck on you mouth test this week. (That just sounds weird :P)

  2. Geez, Joe, your roommate record isn't very good. I never knew those guys, but I am sorry to hear that you suffered their loss as their families did. It's true about not knowing when your time is up. My husband died @ 33 and it's a sad day when you watch the parents bury their child and you watch a 5 year old bury his dad.
But, I have to agree with Jessica...I am glad I was never your roommate. In fact, living in the same town might not be such a great idea either. But I'll persevere and take my chances.

  3. Anonymous was me b/c I couldn't figure out how to get this posted with my name!!

  4. What the hell did you do to these people who died of these awful brain conditions? Just kidding. Very sorry to hear this, Joe. Sending you a big cyber H-H-U-U-G-G!!!!
